Where the numbers come from
- GroWrk (Flex & A La Carte): Internal product pricing as listed on growrk.com.
- Deel IT subscription: Deel IT customer interviews and sales quotes. Deel does not publish IT platform pricing — figures reflect the stacked fee model customers report from their advisor-led process ($10/seat/month + €3,840/month base, ~25% hardware network fee, separate configuration, support, deployment, and retrieval charges).
- Workwize subscription: Public per-user pricing (€14.50/user/month Basic, €19.50/user/month Pro) combined with sales-process research on the 150-seat minimum, 12-month contract, hardware markup, storage, and per-event logistics.
- Allwhere logistics: Allwhere customer interviews on the 4% transaction fee, $40 repair floor, intake fees, and per-event US deployment and retrieval. Allwhere uses advisor-led pricing with no public tiers.
How the calculator is built
- A "workstation" is one MacBook Pro at a retail price of $1,599, plus each vendor's applicable markup, configuration, support, and VAT.
- Hardware cost per unit = retail + markup + VAT + (configuration if toggled) + (hardware support if toggled), multiplied by workstations purchased.
- Platform cost uses each vendor's published or reported model: tiered per-seat (Workwize), seat + fixed fee (Deel IT), per-seat with base (GroWrk Flex), none (GroWrk A La Carte, Allwhere).
- Deployment and retrieval use all-in per-event US costs reported in market research, multiplied by workstations purchased and retrieved respectively.
- EUR values are converted at 1 EUR = 1.08 USD. Storage fees are not included unless bundled by the vendor. VAT is always applicable.
What the research found
Key pricing and operational findings from independent analysis of IT lifecycle management vendors.
Transparent pricing with configuration and support included
GroWrk bundles configuration, hardware support, insurance, data wiping, and intake processing into its Flex subscription. VAT is included at quoting, the full price appears upfront, and A La Carte is available for teams that prefer pure pay-as-you-go. Hardware markup sits at 10% across plans.
All-in-one HR and IT — with stacked cost complexity
Deel IT is positioned as part of a single platform for HR, payroll, and IT — attractive for teams that want one vendor across workforce operations. The tradeoff is cost layering: pricing is quote-only and combines a $10/seat/month platform fee, a fixed €3,840/month base, a ~25% hardware network fee, and separate charges for configuration, support, device intake, unlocking, and retrieval. Buyers should model the full fee stack before signing, since "unified stack" often means multiple line items on the same invoice.
Attractive headline pricing — with real tradeoffs in the fine print
Workwize publishes competitive per-seat pricing (from €14.50/user/month) that can look compelling for larger teams. But the headline doesn't tell the full story: a 150-seat minimum and 12-month commitment lock out smaller fleets, customer reviews cite implementation running into months, portal visibility and SLA consistency weaken outside the US and Western Europe, and storage, supplier-to-warehouse, and customization fees are billed separately. Evaluate implementation effort, visibility, flexibility, and global service consistency — not just the sticker price.
Simple US logistics, friction outside North America
Allwhere charges no platform subscription and leads with a transactional model (a flat 4% fee on hardware plus per-event deployment and retrieval). That simplicity works well for US-centric teams, but customer reviews flag slower SLAs, inconsistent international coverage, and retrieval timelines that stretch from "under a week" into months outside the US. Pricing is advisor-led with no published tiers, so the full cost structure has to be surfaced during the sales process.
