1. Start Asset Recovery Process

Initiate the asset recovery process on the GroWrk platform and confirm the employee address.

2. Prepare Devices for Shipping

Your employee will receive a laptop box at their address and instructions on how to ship the devices safely. In some locations, employees can also receive a prepaid return label.

3. Arrange Pickup

We’ll take care of the pickup and take the device to storage.

4. Store Device

At the warehouse, we’ll wipe the device to ensure data recovery, run diagnostics, provide break/fix support and store it safely for as long as you need.

5. Deploy Device

When a new employee comes in, we’ll reprovision the device.

    GroWrk makes the device return process seamless. We pick up the devices from the employee's address, inspect them at a warehouse, and store them until they can be redeployed. If an employee delays shipping, our team will send reminders and updates. GroWrk’s device return process can save your team valuable time and resources by managing everything from a single place.
  • What are the parameters for equipment shipping boxes?
    GroWrk’s recovery team will send a laptop box where your employee can place their computer, charger, and any other accessories. If your team member also needs to do a monitor return, we’ll make sure to send packing materials and enough boxes to fit all of the devices that you need to recover. We use the information on our platform to provide a smooth offboarding experience for you and your employee.
  • Can you distribute laptops to employees worldwide?
    Yes, GroWrk offers procurement and deployment services in over 150 countries. We leverage a network of partners across the globe who ship equipment to end users locally from in-country warehouses. This way, we avoid long lead times and save costs on customs fees.
  • Can GroWrk ship recovered laptops internationally?
    When we recover a device from an exiting employee, we send it to an in-country warehouse where we store it until it needs to be redeployed. However, redeployment is only available within the same country. GroWrk does not ship used laptops internationally because we likely have a partner in your country of choice that can deliver the new devices you need.
  • How much is it to ship a laptop with GroWrk?
    GroWrk has a fixed retrieval fee per workstation that includes the pickup service, the technical inspection, and the device wiping. A workstation includes a laptop plus peripherals (cables, monitor, keyboard, etc.).
