About the role 

As an Accounts Payable Auditor at GroWrk, you will be responsible for auditing past payments to our global partners, ensuring that all services billed were accurately delivered. Your role will involve identifying discrepancies, recovering overpayments, and collaborating with partners to resolve billing issues. This position is crucial in maintaining the financial integrity of our accounts payable processes and fostering transparent relationships with our partners.

Responsibilities

  • Audit and Reconciliation: Conduct thorough audits of past payments to partners, verifying that invoiced services align with services rendered. Verify compliance with vendor agreements and accounting standards.
  • Discrepancy Resolution: Identify overpayments or billing errors and initiate recovery processes, including negotiating credits or refunds with partners.
  • Process Improvement: Develop and implement auditing procedures to prevent future discrepancies and enhance the accuracy of accounts payable operations.
  • Collaboration: Work with the finance team, procurement department, and global partners to ensure clear communication and prompt resolution of billing issues.
  • Reporting: Prepare detailed reports on audit findings, recovery actions, and potential risks, and recommend strategies for financial process improvements.


What you need to bring

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years in accounts payable auditing, financial analysis, or a related field, preferably within the IT procurement or logistics sectors.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • Tech Savvy: Proficient in Excel, ERP systems, and financial reconciliation tools.
  • Analytical Abilities: Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to analyze complex financial data and identify inconsistencies.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to negotiate and resolve conflicts effectively.
  • Problem-Solving: Proven track record of implementing solutions to rectify financial discrepancies and improve auditing processes.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams and external partners across diverse geographical locations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with global IT procurement processes and vendor management.
  • Certifications: Professional certifications such as Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) are advantageous.
  • Adaptability: Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Cultural Competence: Experience working with international partners and understanding of cross-cultural business practices.
