About the role
The Purchases Intern at GroWrk Remote will provide essential support to the Procurement team by assisting with quotes, order tracking, platform updates, supplier follow-ups, and reporting tasks. This internship offers a hands-on learning opportunity to gain practical experience in purchasing, supply chain processes, and vendor coordination. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and eager to develop a career in procurement while contributing to the team’s success.
Responsibilities
- Create and manage manual quotes for clients (training will be provided).
- Update order and pricing information in internal systems to ensure accuracy.
- Ensure delivery confirmations and Proof of Delivery (POD) updates are reflected in the platform.
- Assist with requests to add equipment to the platform under the guidance of the Purchases Specialist.
- Track and follow up on orders after tracking numbers are updated on the platform.
- Monitor self-delivery orders, verify confirmations, and provide reminders or follow-ups as needed.
- Assist in managing the supplier tracker for peripheral assignments.
- Support updates to the catalog for new client requests based on manual quotes provided by the Purchases Specialist.
- Ensure catalog updates are completed accurately, maintaining consistency across systems.
- Assist in preparing and maintaining reports related to pricing performance, catalog accuracy, and client-specific quotations.
- Contribute to tracking and ensuring the timely delivery of quotes, enhancing overall team efficiency.
- Contribute to meeting key performance metrics, particularly by delivering accurate quotes within agreed-upon timelines and ensuring regular catalog updates.
- Work closely with the Purchases Specialist to streamline tasks and support key procurement objectives.
- Provide administrative assistance to help optimize team operations and improve overall efficiency.
What you need to bring
- Recently completed a degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of procurement or supply chain processes (preferred).
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, or similar tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Timezone
- This is shift-based work: 1am - 10pm SGT = 9am - 6pm PST
