About the role 

GroWrk banishes the chaos of global IT asset management. Our platform automates procurement, deployment, support, retrieval, and end-of-life services for teams in 150+ countries. AI is becoming the brain behind that platform, and we need an engineer who can turn big ideas into production-ready systems. You will lead AI-first innovation across GroWrk, taking workflows from rough ideas to hardened, observable services.

Responsibilities

• Identify high-value, repetitive processes across Ops, Support, Finance, and Onboarding.
• Prototype fast—use Zapier, LLM APIs, agent frameworks, or quick TypeScript scripts to prove value in days, not months.
• Embed with one team for a few weeks, re-designing how they work around your prototype.
• Productionize the winner: rebuild or harden it in our TypeScript + GCP stack, add logging, retries, tests, and monitoring.
• Tune prompts, cut latency and cost, bullet-proof error handling.
• Host short workshops so every team learns how to extend or create their own automations.
• Track hours saved, error rates, and adoption so the business sees clear ROI.

What you need to bring

• Solid TypeScript / Node.js back-end experience (Cloud Functions or Cloud Run a plus).
• Strong CS fundamentals—you think in data structures and Big-O trade-offs.
• Deep familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (IAM, Pub/Sub, Firestore, Cloud Build, Cloud Monitoring).
• Production mindset: observability, idempotent retries, unit and integration tests.
• Vertex AI pipelines or any comparable MLOps workflow (SageMaker, Databricks, etc.).
• Vue.js or another modern front-end framework for building internal UIs.
• Hands-on with LangChain, LlamaIndex, AutoGen, or similar LLM orchestration tools.
• Prior work with no-code/low-code glue (Zapier, Make, Airtable Automations, Retool).

Preferred Qualifications

• A builder who thinks in systems and ships fast.
• Equally comfortable hacking together a Zapier proof-of-concept and refactoring it into clean, tested TypeScript.
• Pragmatic—you automate what matters, instrument everything, and delete what no longer moves the needle.
• A clear communicator who can explain technical trade-offs in plain language and rally non-technical teammates.
